If like me, you can’t believe that it is nearly September then let me hit you with another bit of news.  Palliverse is having its first birthday!

And we have decided to give ourselves a bit of a present – a new look.

We are excited to let you all know that we will be launching a new logo and brand during APCC this week.  We, with the help from the great team at Voodoo Creative, designed the logo as part of our steps towards becoming an increasingly visible, inclusive, and community focused hub for discussion and debate around palliative care and death and dying.  We feel that Palliverse has a potentially important role to be somewhere where palliative care professionals, and experts can come together and engage with the broader community and so we are keen to explore this possibility.

As part of this aspiration we are also excited to announce that Palliverse and Palliative Care Australia are collaborating to launch a tweetchat in the near future. This will focus on supporting discussion of palliative care issues which are of interest to those who work in these fields and the broader community alike.  We will be providing more details about this over the coming days so stay tuned.

As always, we would love any of you to be part of exploring these new steps with us so if you are interested in these ideas then get in touch.  The Palliverse crew will be helping out at APCC (at the couches with the PCA team) to support participants with any questions about Palliverse or social media, so please come and find us.  For instance if you wanted  to tweet a selfie in front of our fancy new banner (#palliversian #13APCC) and needed some IT support to make it so – we would be literally thrilled to help.
